Things to consider

This is helpful for us to receive:

  • Cutting drawings in PDF and DXF (or DWG).
  • For machining and bending: STP file.
  • Clear specification of material grade and thickness.
  • Clear specification of tolerances/sensitive dimensions and any machining allowances.
  • Bent parts in unfolded/flat format.
  • Other requirements clearly specified: certificates, traceability, flatness, specific cutting method, etc.
  • Other operations clearly specified: bending, threading, drilling, blasting, etc.
  • If blanks that will be machined are to be ordered, it helps a lot if both cutting dimensions and final dimensions are stated.

Things to consider:

When you order parts for your own constructions – or have the possibility to adapt the design you’re working on – there is a lot you can do to get the best possible price from us.

Below are some tips:

1: Volume. The most important factor is the number of parts. Every new material grade/thickness we need to cut means setup time (so-called setup cost). Larger volumes of the same grade/thickness mean a better price per part.

2: Delivery time. If you can wait for your parts, we can give you a better price. If you have a project with a large volume of parts, it may be possible for us to order material directly from the mill instead of from a distributor. That way the material cost can be kept down.

3: Tolerances. Tight tolerances cost more. The tighter the tolerance, the more accuracy is required and the more limited we become in our choice of production method. Consider where you actually need tight tolerances.

4: Same grade/thickness. See also point 1. Try to keep your parts within the same material grade and thickness – that way you get a larger volume per cutting setup = better price.

5: Flexibility. More flexible articles in terms of material choice give us more options to manufacture in a cost-effective way.

6: Certificates/Traceability. Most of our material stock is linked to material certificates. Delivering material with certificates is therefore easy. However, delivering the parts with traceability (internal designation SBH) requires special handling in our production. Consider whether you actually need traceability on the parts for your project.

Your project – one supplier

We are a complete supplier to today’s industries because we have and control the entire production process for a mechanical workshop.

Time is money

By taking over time-consuming processes – the kind that can slow down your entire project – we add value by delivering parts that are ready to use.
The parts can be delivered ready for assembly directly to e.g. the construction site or to your production facility.

One or many

We profile-cut and finish complete parts. Everything from large series to single-piece production.
With our machinery and experienced, skilled staff we cover the entire range of prefabricated parts.

A single part or a complete solution

We design, develop and refine to the extent required for your specific purpose – from a simple part to a complete system solution. We help you with product development and manufacturing all the way from the drawing board to delivery.

Efficiency

We have a fully equipped mechanical workshop with everything needed for efficient sheet metal processing.
Everything from cutting, rolling, bending, bevelling, drilling and threading to blasting and painting.

Flexibility

You, the customer, decide where in the manufacturing chain we step in and how far you want us to complete your product. Our strength is flexibility – adapting to our customers’ needs.
No job is too big or too small for us!

Service, quality and delivery reliability

Many of our customers are internationally leading in their industries, but we also work with many smaller companies where service, quality and delivery reliability are just as important.
